rifi_new14Led by Arifa Boehler and  Alexandra Merril
Held at The Kieve Conference Center in Nobleboro, Maine

The Form: A committed group of women comes together over a 9 month period consisting of one day long retreat and 3 residential weekends. Working with our astrological charts as a textbook, with our lunation cycles as compass and with the events of group life as they arise we will have a good balance of astrological teaching and lunar group process experience.

As we work with emerging experience, we can see how the ancient astrological principles, especially the Moon, inform process and in fact, are guiding us. There will be time for discussion of the complexity of our process, time for silence, time to be alone and time for good company.

Some outcomes:
• Grounding your awareness of the correlation between the cycle of the moon and the moon placement at the time of your birth and it’s influence on female processes.
• Deeper understanding of the system of astrology and ability to use basic astrological information in your daily life.
• Learn new ways of looking at group process through a lunar-based woman identified group dynamics theory.
• Practice membership and leadership skills among like-minded women.

About Arifa and Alexandra
When we began teaching astrology in an experiential retreat setting 12 years ago, we wanted to create a form that would allow the archetypal astrological patterns alive in all of us to be ‘known’ from the inside of ourselves.  We wanted to help restore the Moon to her rightful place in our lives.

Arifa uses astrology to help us make sense of the patterns in our lives. She listens to what is happening in a person’s life and translates the complex astrological patterns of that particular fate into useable language. She has been a student of astrology since 1972 and teaching since 1983. She works with individuals many different kinds of groups–family systems, work teams, school systems, and small businesses.

Alexandra has been working with individual women, leading women’s groups and building training programs for women’s leadership development for 40 years here in the USA and internationally. Uncovering and unraveling how the tangled web of centuries of oppression impacts us all in our ordinary lives, she is currently focusing on how the Moon influences individual lives and women’s group process.
